Should You Wear Flip Flop Sandals to Work?
Ten years ago, the answer to that question would have been a resounding "No!"; however today - office attire can be so casual in some companies, that wearing flip flops isn't an issue at all. The flip side of that coin is that flip flop sandals are designed to be a lot more than casual foot attire as well and come better made and more stylishly designed than ever.
Havaianas Sandals used to be the flip flop that the working class wore. However, Hollywood noticed the sheer comfort of the buttery soft soles that no company has been able to duplicate since and they became the casual sandal of choice. They look terrific with summer dresses or short skirts. Another type of flip flop that is work friendly are the Roxy Lychee flip flops. They have a thick wedge heel making these a mid-height flip flop. The soft EVA inner and outer sole make these super comfortable.
The only drawback is if safety will be an issue. If you work in an environment where not having your feet fully protected could result in an injury, you need to save the flip flops for after work and on the weekends as your safety comes first.
If your company approves of the wearing of sandals, go for it. Your feet deserve to be comfortable and wearing sandals is the optimum way to treat your feet right.
