How to Remove Shoe Scuffs From Your Sandals

If you have discovered unsightly and annoying scuffs on your sandals, there is no need to toss your footwear into the trash. There are a few things that you can do to take care of such ugly scuffs to bring your shoes or sandals back to life. Use the tips in this article to keep your scuffs down to a minimum and you'll find that you save a lot of money by not having to replace your shoes due to scuffing.

Certainly, if you end up having light scuffs on your shoes, these can sometimes be removed by simply wiping them off with a damp cloth. If they are leather shoes and the scuff is not wiping off as easily as you would like, you can always purchase a good bottle of shoe polish in the matching color to take care of it. However, when you end up having really dark scuffs, you may have to take a few extra steps to get your shoes looking fabulous again.

For dark scuffs, you may want to look to your local shoe store or shoe repair shop to either have them refinished or to purchase the items that you would need to do the refinishing yourself such as leather preparer. Working in a well ventilated room, just spray on the leather prep and then rub until the shoe has a dull shine. When scuff is completely minimized, apply leather refinisher and rub until your leather regains its shine.

You can't stop scuffs from happening, however if you use the tips in this article, you can minimize them from being a problem on your sandals.
