Are Sandals Appropriate To Wear To The Office?
Even five years ago the answer to that question would have been a resounding, "No!"; however in the working world of today many companies allow more casual modes of dress as long as the high standards to please clients are met.
Sandals used to be completely out for any office attire, then they became acceptable for "casual day" or "dress down Friday" that many companies observe and today sandals are acceptable in most offices from the smallest ma and pop shop to a fortune 500 company.
If you've never taken the plunge and worn a pair of sandals to the office before, there are just a few things to know. First of all, make sure your feet are presentable. Remember, that old saying, "Put your best foot forward"? It greatly applies when wearing sandals in an office environment. Give yourself a pedicure and make sure you address all dry skin, cracked heels by buffing and moisturizing; and make sure your toenail polish looks perfect. Then slip on a pair of sandals and wear them to the office.
